We’re coming back!!!!

Good afternooooon dodo fans!!! Tis I Darwin, everybody’s favourite dodo, here with the news you’ve all been waiting for.  Yes after 3 months we’re coming back!!! We plan to re-open on Tuesday June 30th and to begin with we’ll be opening on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

Why leave it until the 30th? Well that’s to give time for the initial novelty of the shops being open to wear off and things to calm down a bit and get into their rhythm before we come back. So put it in your diary folks that this bird is coming back!!!!!

Soon to be opening once more!!!

Ahoy, ahoy dodo lovers everywhere! We shall soon be announcing news as to exactly when we shall be re-opening, but in the meantime here is how we intend to operate once we do. Once we re-open the shop itself, due to the limited space, it will be closed off to members of the public, so please try to use our website to look at what we have in stock and if you can let us know what you want in advance so that we can have it ready for you, as the Gallery may be a bit of a nightmare to negotiate for the forseeable future. This policy is not seen as a permanent situation and will be regularly reviewed.

In the meantime keep those beaks to the wind!

Closing for now!!!

Due to the growing severity of the situation I think it only right that e-Collectica temporarily close its doors as of today (21st March). We are hoping to be able to get some of our stock home on Monday/Tuesday so that we can at least offer some form of home delivery service for local people. We’ll keep you posted on this.

But for now we will follow the theatre tradition as I have left a solar powered light in the shop window as a kind of ‘ghost light’ so that every night when it turns on it will be a sign to the world that we intend to get through this and return to serve the community once again.

Keep safe and keep those beaks up!!!!!

Magical Myrioramas are now in stock!

We now have the complete collection of Laurence King Publishing’s Magical Myrioramas in stock.

Myriorama originally meant a set of illustrated cards which 19th century children could arrange and re-arrange, forming different pictures. Later in the century the name was also applied to shows using a sequence of impressive visual effects to entertain and inform an audience.

The early myrioramas were cards with people, buildings, and other images on compatible backgrounds, and could be laid out in any order, allowing the creation of a variety of imaginary landscapes.  In their re-invented form they allow players to work together to tell an endless variety of tales within each genre.  A must for story telling game fans.

Restocks!!!

Here is a picture of today’s restocks to cheer you up.

I know, we’re all heart here.

New bits and restocks!

Did you keep those beaks up? Clearly you did or you wouldn’t be reading this. Well that’s if you’re reading this today, not if you’re reading it a few days late. Be that as it may here they are our latest round of new bits and restocks. I told you we had a few coming in.
